ABOUT US

ClevPRIME Volleyball Club, located on the west-side of Cleveland, is a member of the Ohio Valley Region (OVR). The OVR is one of the largest regional volleyball associations of USA Volleyball. Our club hosts club teams, camps, private lessons, clinics, in-house leagues, and coaches training. We hope to establish a reputation of excellence and success not only regionally but nationally as well.

We work hard to promote and establish quality volleyball training by teaching the most successful and proven technical skills and tactical instruction in the game today. Players will be sure to receive top high school and college level coaching. We welcome girls and boys of all ages and experience levels (players with previous volleyball experience and those new to the game). We promise to provide a positive learning environment and to treat all players like student athletes.

We support participation and involvement in any and all sports. It is good for the physical, mental and social development of young people. Thus, we will not encourage our players to give up another sport in order to play volleyball. However, it is expected that each player possess good time management skills.

MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY

Our club philosophy and desire is not to become the biggest club by numbers rather to become a successful club by playing with a winning attitude at a high level of competitiveness. We expect our coaches to teach and to demand the best out of our players and our players to prepare and perform on and off the court.

Our mission is to motivate and inspire the student athlete. We are committed to providing the best environment for our volleyball players to reach their maximum playing potential. We hope to instill a hard work ethic, self-discipline, self-motivation, and teamwork.

WHY CHOOSE US

ClevPRIME Volleyball Club provides players with an experienced coaching staff made up of college coaches, high school coaches, former club directors, and a group of young talented coaches. What distinguishes us from other clubs is quality control. How do we do that? All of our coaches attend and take mandatory monthly Continuing Education Units (CEU's). By doing this, we are confident and certain that our coaches are able to work well with one another, providing players with a smooth transition from year to year, as well as providing players with the latest technical skills and tactical instruction.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

What is the difference between National, American, and Regional teams?

As defined by the Ohio Valley Region, "teams are classified as National (11s-18s), American (12s-17s), and Regional. National teams should consist of highly skilled athletes that compete at the highest levels of competition within and outside of the Ohio Valley Region. Regional teams consist of athletes from the beginner to the highly skilled and compete at various levels of competition based on their teams' composition. Regional teams do not participate in the OVR National Power Challenge, Power League, or Bid Tournament. Teams in the American division do not desire the travel associated with the National division, but want a stronger level of competition than the Regional division."

At ClevPRIME Volleyball Club, the biggest difference between National, American, and Regional teams is the number of multi-day tournaments. National teams play in mostly two day, three day, and four day tournaments. American teams will play in single day and two day tournaments. Regional teams will mostly play in single day tournaments. National teams also attend 2-3 National Qualifiers and go to either USA Girls Junior National Championships or AAU National Championships, both held in June. Because of the extended season, extra month of practice, and extra fees for Nationals, the fees for a National team are higher.

How much does it cost?

The general cost to play is outlined in the Why Choose Us webpage. To view the exact cost for each team and the due dates for each payment, please go to the team pages.

When do I pay club dues?

We understand that every family's budget is different. Having said that, the club fees are broken down into installments/payments. The first payment (depending on the chosen payment plan outlined in your Player/Parent Handbook) is due with your signed contract. The rest of the balance is due through monthly payments. If you need to make separate arrangements, please contact miocinovic@outlook.com

How do I tryout and what forms do I need, if any, for tryouts?

Tryout procedures (signup, forms, arrival time, etc.) vary by club. All OVR clubs must follow the tryout policies that are detailed in the OVR Athletes' Bill of Rights and in the OVR Procedures and Rules for Juniors' Clubs.

Tryouts for athletes of high school age (15's-18's) will be held the day after the OHSAA State Championships (early Novemeber). For 10's-14's, tryouts will be held the last weekend of October. Any player wishing to attend one of these tryouts MUST be a member of the Ohio Valley Region/USA Volleyball. The OVR offers a $10 Tryout Membership which allows the participant to attend up to 5 tryout dates between September and December. These five dates may be tryouts for different clubs. To sign up for the Tryout Membership, please visit the Female Junior Registration page.

We will provide additional signup forms at the time of the tryout. Please arrive 30 minutes before your tryout starts. Verbal commitments by players or parents to clubs are not binding. Commitments must be in writing: e-mail, written note, payment by check or cash (receipt required), or signed contract are binding to both parties for that season.

What can I expect at open gyms?

At ClevPRIME Volleyball Club, open gyms are for the purpose of offering players court space to practice. We will not offer any instruction or coaching at open gyms. As a player coming to an open gym, you should not expect to gain a tryout advantage. Having said this, if you, as a player, feel like you need some extra reps, open gyms would be a great option for you.

When do I find out who will be my coach?

We will post coaching assignment information a few weeks before tryouts. National team coaches will be determined a month before tryouts. Assistant coaches will be assigned a few weeks prior to tryouts.
